Course Content

Designing the foundation for an offshore wind turbine is a multi-disciplinary challenge which typically takes months or even years. This advanced six-day course will delve into the science of designing an offshore wind support structure. Participants will gain insight into the complete design cycle of an offshore turbine. Theoretical lectures will cover all aspects of offshore support structure design including the necessary methodology to bring theory into practice. Additionally, in hands-on case studies, participants will calculate and design their own offshore support structure making use of state-of-the-art industry design tools.

This course and its material are written and given entirely in English, however if all participants are Dutch, it is possible to give the lectures in Dutch.

Structural engineers or lead designers wishing to expand their knowledge on the design cycle of an offshore wind turbine support structure.
